Potheads Rally to Make 4/20 a National Holiday But Keep Losing Motivation

Humbolt, CA

For the past decade, I think, or at least a long time (like five years), marijuana advocates around the country have attempted to rally together to petition the man to make 4/20 a national holiday.

ATA spoke with Cheech Chong from Marin, CA, a long-time marijuana advocate and author of the half-finished book “420 What Is It and…Shit it’s Tuesday—Taco Tuesday, Yo,” about the movement to make 4/20 a national holiday.

According to Cheech, “Marijuana is all about feeling good and making others feel good.  Like sativa gives you energy and makes you feel good and indica makes your body feel good, so it’s all good you know.”

So why make 4/20 a national holiday?  “Because,” answered Cheech, as he sparked up what he called “A Presidential Roll, with premium strain-hybrid Skywalker, kief, hash, and hash oil, wrapped in tobacco leaf,” and inhaled while contemplating.  He thought for a moment. “Kinda grabs you by the boo boo, yo…Take a hit bro.”

“I’m good.”

“Come on, bro.”

“Just a little one then.”

“There you go.”

“That’s nice, man.  Tastes real good. Smells like college.  I haven’t done this since…damn…What?”

“What? You were talking to me, man.”

“Oh yeah, Why make 4/20 a national holiday?”

“Because it’s 4/20 and the 4 is like April and the 20 is like Twinny Twin Twin, you know…you know-damn you’ve got trippy eyes bro.  They like pop out of your head like Sponge Bob and shit.”

Both laugh.

“What?”

“What?”

ATA will continue to work on this story until we have motivation to finish it.
