I am Light

I am light. I am the light of my soul. I am beautiful. I am bountiful. I am bright. I am. I am.

Say this out loud. Does it sound like B.S. to that inner voice? Then say it some more and some more. Say it as many times as you need to to deeply connect to it. I am light. I am like a rare gem in the sunshine, reflecting the light & energy of the cosmos out around me.

I’d just had a conversation with an amazing woman who was in the thick of it. Just taking moment by moment because that’s all the energy she has right now. Two active little kids to care of who have also been battling various viruses for the past several months, a household to keep up with, her own health…on and on…can you relate? Yes! For sure I can.  Another dear sister dealing with some major health issue that have been wearing on her quality of life…just barely keeping up with life and kids etc. People fighting over differences of opinions; different teams; over that last parking spot…I am light. Do you feel it yet? How easy we forget. Myself included.

I was feeling this so much today that my intuition signaled me to check in and call my sis and I’m so glad I did. I hope I lifted her up. Our short conversation was like a yummy balm. Afterwards, I played India Arie’s song “I Am Light”, I cried and cried and cried!  I danced to Frazey Ford’s song “Hey Little Mama”. I dug my feet into the earth to remember.

I am light.

Today I am walking in my light.  I want to walk in yours too. Will you remember please. You are light. Let’s keep building each other up and honoring that beauty in each other. Take the time to see and be with others, with ourself, with our food, with someone who is struggling, with the night sky, with…
