Your Grandpa is Copping Supreme x Lacoste in Velour

Grandpa’s and OG dads around the world are purchasing bots and paying off their grandkids and kids to stand in line to cop the many colorful golf inspired pieces in the upcoming Supreme x Lacoste line, dropping Thursday.

ATA went to the Laguna Woods golf course in the burgeoning senior community of Leisure World to find out what pieces the seniors would be copping.

Retired real estate mogul, Al Czervik was pretty excited about all of the bright colors offered and stated, “I want a half dozen of those polos in every color, and set my friend Wang, no offense, up with the whole schmeer. You know crews, caps, fanny packs, nylon track suits…give me two of those…give me six of those…”

Czervik, however, wasn’t so big on the velour bucket hats that we at ATA feel are the cornerstone to this collection.  When we showed him a sample bucket hat advanced to us by Supreme, Czevik was quick to judge, “Awww this is the worst looking hat I ever saw.  Well you buy a hat like this, I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh…Oh, I bet it looks good on you though.”

Edward Murphy, a retired Beverly Hills Cop turned barber plans on copping the velour bucket hat, track suit, and polo shirt in peach. When shown pictures of the track suit ensemble from Supreme’s online site, Murphy responded,  “This is beautiful. What is that velvet!?”

Rock Dad

In today’s music world, it seems my teenage kids are hooked on every two-bit, no-name hip hop or rap artist who can mumble “Skirt, Skirt” (which is a rapper mimicking the sound of an expensive sports car screeching its tires on the asphalt) behind some poorly programmed bass and drum track.

Joking in Paradise - Being a Stand-Up Comedian in Hawaii

When people ask me where I started doing stand up comedy and I say "Hawaii," it’s always met with assumptive skepticism. They never relay it with actual words, but their raised brows and frowns gives me all the signal I need. I agree, it is an insane idea to perceive. How does one go to paradise and ultimately decide that telling jokes is a feasible way of life? It's part perception, duration, and realization.

How Jane's Addiction's Nothing's Shocking Almost Did Not Get Recorded

One of the most significant albums of the 1980s, Jane's Addiction's seminal Nothing's Shocking, almost didn't get recorded. While the album turned out to be so influential to alternative music and the beginnings of grunge, the band that went into LA's Eldorado Studio to record it nearly broke up during production.
